Even though the holiday season is upon us, we at Cryptic Studios have been hard at work to bring you some great seasonal new updates. We've got a brand new event that's live right now, full of all new Perks, Action Figures and costume pieces. Plus, we’ve developed a great program for you to introduce your friends to Champions Online. Read on to learn more.

Attack of the Misfit Toys

Winter is upon us, but that doesn’t mean things have cooled down in Champions Online. Just in time for the holidays, the dastardly Black Harlequin is up to no good, and he’s got a bag of goodies no one would want under their tree.

The Attack of the Misfit Toys update is available to all players right now. Here are some of the new features you will be able to enjoy:

-- A Special Holiday Event! Confront and defeat Black Harlequin to save the holidays for everyone. But beware, where Black Harlequin goes, the dreaded Clarence is sure to follow.

-- New Costume Pieces! New robotic costume pieces, including a steampunk monocle.

-- New Action Figures! Travel around outdoor zones and assemble eight new action figures.

-- New Perks! Complete them all to earn special costume upgrades.

Even Champions Need a Hand

Defender, the leader of the Champions, knows every superhero is only as good as his allies. Fighting crime alone isn’t just dangerous, it’s downright lonely. With that in mind, we’ve created the Champions Online Recruitment Office. If you have a friend you’d like to introduce to Champions Online, just send him a special code, which will allow him to play Champions Online free, for 10 days.

But it doesn’t stop there. You and your recruit will enjoy special benefits for playing Champions Online together. Check out these amazing benefits:

-- You’ll be able to teleport to your recruit once every 12 hours.

-- When grouped, both the recruiter and the recruit will earn a 5 percent experience bonus. *

-- When grouped, both players will receive 5 percent more resources from enemy drops.*

-- When grouped, you’ll both receive a 5 percent damage and regeneration buff.*

-- You’ll both receive a special Sapphire Action Figure, just for using the program.

*Lasts 30 days or 20 hours of in-game play time, whichever transpires first.

Champions Companion

The Champions Companion App for the iPhone is a mobile companion application for the Champions Online massively multiplayer game. The Companion allows you to access in-game features from anywhere you have a mobile connection, including:

-- Viewing latest game news and announcements.

-- Viewing your character's portrait, powers, and items.

-- Managing your friends list and seeing who is playing Champions Online.

-- Sending and receiving in-game mails.

-- Viewing your friends' activity streams.
