Let's be honest.  Miniatures games LOOK confusiong.  often times, they are confusing as well.  there are no boards, the movement is open to interpretation, combat can be arcane and contentious, and two people can look at a situation in-game and almost come to blows attempting to determine what the hell might be happening next.

So, of course, we love these games. 

Miniatures games give you almost absolute frredom of tactics and strategy.  they reward people who can think in geometric terms and who undertand the whole military concept of supply and logistics and reserves and all the rest.  Miniatures games can be a huge sink for cash, no doubt.  But hey, that's life.
