Anyone who grew up playing board games loved the natural progression of those board games onto the computer.  After all, a two (2) player game of Risk sucks and as we get more and more responsibilities, it's difficult to find six (6) friends who have a free night and will sit down around a table.

Computer based strategy games let us steal an hour or two here and there and indulge in our hobby.  Granted, the first computer based strategy games had Artificial Intelligence (AI) that was woefully inadequate.  But they let us kill a few hours and get that gaming fix.

The current state of the art in AI regularly kicks our butt.  That's frustrating, at times, but in a good way.  the following pages are some of the computer based strategy games we've taken the time to play and review.  If we are missing your favorite, drop us a note and we'll see what we can do.
